Our Story
Trade contractors bid on roughly $12 billion in GC and property manager RFPs every year. Most small firms—electricians, plumbers, HVAC shops, roofers under $500K in revenue—lose the majority of those bids.
Why? The proposal process is brutal. Contractors either skip bidding altogether, spend $800 or more on ghostwriters who don't understand trade terminology, or divert $45K-per-year employees from billable work to write proposals that still miss key requirements.
The founder built TradeBid AI after watching a friend's HVAC company lose a $140K contract because the proposal was submitted 20 minutes late—a consequence of their office manager spending three days manually compiling bid documents.
The platform uses a RAG architecture trained on public bid documents and FOIA-sourced proposals. It reads the RFP, identifies the specific requirements, and drafts compliant responses in the contractor's voice. Proprietary data stays private: TradeBid AI never uses submitted documents for training.
The result is a tool built specifically for trade contractors who cannot afford enterprise proposal teams but cannot afford to stop bidding either.
